Sea Forest, a 2023 Earthshot Prize Finalist, has partnered with Theory to pioneer a lower-carbon approach to wool production. By introducing their SeaFeed™, a supplement based on red seaweed, into sheep diets, the initiative has achieved a methane reduction of around 43%. 

Why it matters: raw material production remains one of fashion’s biggest sources of emissions. Addressing impact at this level is essential to delivering meaningful, system-wide decarbonisation.

This collaboration demonstrates how science-led innovation can translate into measurable, scalable impact across global supply chains.

The first low-carbon Merino wool products are now being introduced this season.
